The article by Hugh Selby ("Outrage over Hicks a beacon for justice", March 5, p17) is an excellent exposition of Hicks’s tragic circumstance. Read with the article by Michael Otterman below it, it is also deeply disturbing.
I agree that community outrage over the injustice to Hicks is finally beginning to have an effect on the Government. The reason is that it has gone beyond a middle-class issue and become a pub topic of conversation.
Indeed, "let there be more light and a stronger flame".
